Cake Boxes

Cake boxes give you a convenient way to transport and display baked goods for sale. Our plain white boxes run from 4x4x3 inch up to 20x20x6 inch, and window boxes let the cake show through, with tall 25cm and 30cm styles for double barrel cakes. Full and half slab boxes sit neatly over a rectangle board, while cupcake window boxes hold 4, 12 or 24 with muffin inserts to match. You'll also find donut boxes, lunchboxes, pastel scalloped boxes, clear domes and waxed cake trays. Match them with a cake board to sit the cake on.

More Details

  • Yes, cake boxes keep cakes fresh! If you're transporting a cake or want to store it for a few days, always put it in a cake box. The box protects the cake from dust and other contaminants. It also helps to keep the cake moist by preventing it from drying out.

  • The best kind of box for your cake depends on the size and shape of the cake. For a round cake, you'll need a round cake box. For a square or rectangular cake, you'll need a square or rectangular cake box. The box should be big enough to fit the cake snugly so that it doesn't move around. If you’re delivering a cake somewhere, we recommend using a window cake box that protects the cake but allows you to view through the top to ensure it's in good condition. On the other hand, a brown cake box will add a touch of vintage charm to your goodies.

  • The size of your cake box should be proportional to the size of your cake. A small cake will need a small box, and a large cake will need a large box. It should be sized to the baseboard of your cake, about 1 or 2 inches larger than your cake so that the sides won't crush the cake.

  • Cake boxes are recyclable or compostable, depending on the materials they're made of. Most cake boxes are made of cardboard, which is recyclable. If your cake box is made of paper, it can be composted.

  • Putting a cake box together is easy! Just fold along the creases and tuck in the flaps. If the box has a lid, put the lid on top and secure it with tape.
