The Bow Cake, Beginner, 2 weeks Wednesday 22nd & 29 April, Nunawading

What a great place to start your cake decorating journey with this extended tier, mud cake, covered in silky chocolate ganache and finished with a fondant covering & bow. 

What will you learn?

  • Torte your mud cake and ganache with delicious dark chocolate ganache using the lid method to achieve sharp edges
  • Model a beautiful box decoration
  • Use a mould to make miniature roses to decorate your bow.
  • Wrap your cake in fondant icing
  • Decorate your cake with your completed bow and finish with hand painted leaves 

What prior skills are required? 

No previous experience required.

This workshop is being run over 2 nights - Tuesday 21 April & Tuesday 28 April, 2026, 6:30pm-9pm

Additional information:

  • Workshop starts at 6:30pm sharp! Please arrive by 6:25pm
  • Please wear suitable attire, closed in shoes, no flowing sleeves, jackets/cardigans or jewelry that will interfere with your ability to complete the tasks.
  • Please also keep in mind we have up to 10 students in a workshop and the aim is to learn new techniques and to enjoy yourself, not to necessarily take home a perfect project.
