    Dummy cake shapes are extremely versatile and these shapes are made of high quality compressed polystyrene so they are very sturdy.

    Foam shapes are used as a tier of a structured cake to save money and avoid excess cake when it is not required. They can also be used as a cake tier separator and also for display cakes and practice cakes. Buttercream icing and royal icing can also be adhered to the sides of our foam shapes.

    Decorate as you would a normal cake; lightly cover your tier with water or piping gel before applying fondant icing to ensure it adhere to the sides of the foam.

    Lovely for a 'fake' cake

    Used a couple of these (6" and 8") tiers for a fake cake at a baby shower. Covered each with fondant - it worked beautifully!

    As described, easy to work with

    I used this dummy cake foam to make the top layer of this birthday cake. It looked great and was easy to remove to cut the cake. For the record, I also got all the edible images printed at cake decorating central Nunawading for this cake. They were amazing and I'll definitely use them again on future cakes.
